What I am working on is a water color type paper. It is a lot like water color but instead of using paint I use colored wrapping paper. I put the colored wrapping paper on the piece of paper and I take a camel haired paint brush to spread water all over the colored wrapping paper. By doing this the dye on the paper looks like water color but in a sense where it almost looks like all the colors blend together.
I used my original idea for the base of the art work and I found what I wanted to put as a saying on the art work on Pinterest.I knew what I wanted it to look like but not a lot of idea on how to actually make it. I had help with how to make the colors bleed onto the paper a certain way, Mrs.Bailey helped me with the idea on how to make it and gave me the idea of using the wrapping paper. | This took me two weeks to make with thinking about the idea of doing it and actually doing it. This last picture is the finished product. I plan on redoing it because I feel that I messed up in some parts of the photo and I want to fix those mistakes so my picture will be closer to what I wanted it to look like. |
All my other artworks were more like test papers. I was trying different ways to use paint and different ways I could make cool and unique backgrounds. Instead of just using water color I wanted to make something different and put a twist on it. Which I did with the water color picture above.
