To make this artwork I drew it with pencil. I was not going to color it in with colors but then thought it was a good idea. I usually do not color because I ruin the picture but I wanted to try and make it look decent. My original picture was instead of color I used shading to add in different shades of the pencil. For my final copy I used colored pencils to add color. I used oranges, reds, and browns to make different shades of colors on the animal. | This is the original idea that started this artwork. I learned how to shade in colors while doing this. I also learned that when you blend colors together and use the right ones (Complimentary Colors) that you can get the color black instead of just using the actual color black. | This is what is happening right now with the picture | In this artwork I used the element of art Value the most. I used this element when shading in different colors for the pandas body and adding more to make the colors look more realistic. I used black for the legs and shaded in the top of them lighter so it looks like the color black is fading into the body and not just black legs and a orange body but it is all blended together. The feet of the panda are blended with the body to make it look like the color of the fur doesn't just end and that it blended together. The color of the fur near the neck gets dark to make it look like it is fitted to the log it and not just a strait neck it is resting on the log. |
